The house is about 40-50 yrs old, and the roof/chimney has never had flashing. Recently moved in and faced with intense flooding in the basement. Need a cheap way to fix this, even if only temporary! Any input at all would be greatly appreciated!!

it depends on the type of roof and what kind chimney u have if brick and pitched roof u need step flashing that go’s under the shingle starting at the bottom and work ur way up then go to a home depot store and ask the guy in the roofing department and a bucket of cold tar that’s the cheapest i can think of with out seeing it
